Independent Ceramics Ltd Looking for Office Assistant at Panmure, Auckland Full Time

We are a well-established wholesale distribution company based in Panmure, Auckland and we are looking for a friendly, dynamic, and reliable Office Assistant to join our small awesome team.

Do you have personality, love talking to people on the phone and have a “can do” attitude??  

Are you able to work under pressure with a diverse mix of people at the same time as having a great sense of humour?

Do you like early morning starts (with early finishes), are punctual and reliable??  

Can you problem solve and show initiative?

Do you have passion?  Are you engaged?  Are you confident and like getting the job done and working as part of a team?

The people in our business are very much team players, enjoy their work and are self-starters who also enjoy working with our customers on a daily basis.

We are seeking a person who above all else is not phased by whatever curve balls are thrown at them, who can communicate confidently when dealing with both our customers and staff within our business.

You may be very qualified or have only limited experience but don’t let this put you off, as we will teach you everything you need to know.

About the role:

• Answer phone queries 
• Liaise with customers and the warehouse
• Provide assistance to onsite customers
• Process orders in Unleashed
• Ensure there is cohesion between office and warehouse
• Coordination via email and phone with couriers and freight companies
• Assistance with inventory management processes and stock takes including random stock checks.
• Process credits and returns
• Assistance with general administrative and office support tasks.
• Respond to email correspondence
• Hours 7.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday

• Your written and verbal communication skills are a real strength – you are a quick learner and ensure your work is always accurate
• You have strong attention to detail and numerical skills
• You are organised and possess the ability to prioritize tasks
• You have the capability and willingness to grasp internal systems and processes.
• You show initiative and the ability to work within a team.
• You have an interest in interior design
