Independent People Hiring for EET (Education, Employment and Training) and Wellbeing Coach x4 Job at Bristol, England , UK Full Time

We have an exciting opportunity for x4 new EET and Wellbeing Coaches to join our Reboot West team. Our Reboot coaches work with care experienced young people in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, BANES, and North Somerset. You will be trained in a new psychological approach Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The ACT approach focuses on supporting young people to recognise their own values and determine their goals and aspirations. The aim of the Reboot project is to help young people to access and sustain their education, employment, and training goals.

1625 Independent people are in the process of securing pioneering and prestigious funding that will enable us to support 265 care experienced young people for up to 3 years, whilst also undertaking the largest and strongest evaluation ever of a youth unemployment programme of this type. The intention of this evaluation would be to assess if long term therapeutic support is better for young people, whilst being more cost effective for the government and so to change the system nationally.

Who are we?
We are a leading youth homelessness charity based in the Southwest, working with over 1,500 young people. What you will be doing:

• By adopting a flexible and creative approach, you will enable young people to improve their confidence and wellbeing, supporting them to access and sustain employment and/or training. This might include meeting young people in cafés, parks, or even gyms!
• Working in partnership with social services, and other support agencies, you will form part of a passionate team of people surrounding each young person, providing holistic and specialist support adapted to meet the needs of each individual.
• Being well organised and efficient, you will effectively record, and evidence outcomes achieved by young people, ensuring safe working practice, and contributing to our effort to secure future funding of the project.

  The location: You will be based in Kingsley Hall, close to Bristol’s main train and bus stations as well as the vibrant city centre. However, as these roles are based in different locations there is an expectation to work from a specific local authority at times.
