Indigo Slate Looking for Software Engineer – Java Developer at Bellevue, WA Full Time

We are looking to build an onsite, high energy, collaborative team of software engineers for one of our fastest growing and innovative enterprise customers. Senior Software Engineers are devoted problem solvers responsible for the overall execution and organization of the development effort on large-scale technology engagements. As a software engineer you have the ultimate responsibility of making technologies work together and, as a result, is a key role that contributes heavily towards the success of the project. You’ll work alongside the technical project manager, solution architects and other developers to build enterprise applications.

Must Have Skills

• 6+ years software development experience including at least one successful enterprise project in Java with Spring/Springboot
• A strong technical background coding in Java 7 or 8
• Strong working knowledge of web development from the front- and back-end (REST)
• Hands-on experience building cloud-based (AWS) systems.
• Experience delivering software via microservices & containerization (docker)
• A proven ability to leverage SaaS APIs and Social Media APIs
• A proven ability to develop highly secure applications with end to end encryption
• NoSQL Database experience, RDS, Dynamo.

Desirable Skills

• Great communication & documentation skills
• Node.js experience is a benefit
• Experience leading a team of software engineers
• Experience developing software-based automation solutions to ensure better quality of experience for customers.
• Experience collaborating with Design, ML/AI and UX Teams on implementation
• A commitment to testable code
• Experience with Kafka or similar
• Experience in an Agile environment
• Knowledge of and demonstrated work experience utilizing JS frameworks such as Angular 2.0, Node.js, React.js, Ember.js, Backbone, jQuery as well as common CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation, Pure, Skeleton, Gumby, etc
