About Us
Infracore is a well-respected organization that works within the public utilities and services space in the Rotorua catchment. With a particular focus on three waters infrastructure, open spaces, city cleaning, civil contracting and nursery services. Infracore maintains over 4.4 million square meters of turf within the Rotorua Lakes District. Our open spaces, reserves and sports fields provide a place of peaceful reflection and recreation both active and passive for our community.
What the job involves
As a turf maintenance operator, you will assist the both the sports field and passive mowing teams to perform a range of tasks to keep our open spaces beautiful, you will also operate a number of different machines from line trimmers to ride on mowers.
The majority of your time will be spent maintaining the turf and grounds, ensuring our turf assets are at an appropriate standard at all times.
You will also be involved in operational turf and ground maintenance tasks such as weed eating, hand mowing, chemical control, ride on mowing and litter collection.
In this position, you will work 40 hours per week at a minimum to allow for climatic season changes.
Hours of work will be – September to May – 7am – 3.30pm
June to August – 8am – 4.30pm
You will be capable of dealing with the public, contractors and stakeholders in a confident and calm manner. You’re in a role that not just anybody can do; it requires attention to detail and consistency.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in the turf management industry and a NZ Certificate in Turf management Level 2 or equivalent, through experience would be an advantage.
Must be physically fit and able to pass a full medical and ACC history check.
Experienced operator small plant (weed eaters, hand mower, hedge trimmer), mower machine experience.
W,T,R endorsement, Class 2 license advantageous
A full clean driver’s license is essential and ability to drive manual vehicles.
This is a full time permanent position and there will also be a requirement to work overtime as required to meet business and operational needs.
