Inject Pty Ltd Looking for Sales Representative at Addington, Canterbury Full Time

For over 14 years, we have been providing total support to the stone industry across New Zealand. If you see a stone benchtop, there is a chance that we have provided the diamond blades, polishing pads, glue or industrial machinery that is responsible for turning a slab of stone into a kitchen or bathroom benchtop. Operating in the premium end of the market, we also import luxurious natural stone slabs and tiles from Italy, Brazil and Turkey.

We not only provide quality service and products, but we have a proven track record of bringing in people from outside the stone industry and develop their career in the CDK Stone family.  Given the existing relationships and opportunities in the South Island, we are looking for our next Salesperson to join the team and grow with us.

About You

You have always been interested in developing relationships with blue collar trades and construction where you know quality matters. Because of this, you are always on the lookout for brands with a strong reputation that you can confidently stand behind and recommend.

Your skills are in your ability to build rapport and relationships with others. You do equally well in planned presentations or scheduled meetings, just as you do on a last-minute phone call that allows you to share your knowledge and help solve a problem for a customer.

You might have experience in the tooling, machinery, or construction industry, or maybe you are a DIY renovator with an interest in hardware and material. While you might not know what a diamond blade is, or don’t know the difference between granite and marble – you are interested to learn and develop your skills.

About the Role

You will be the go-to specialist for our customers in Christchurch and the whole South Island. Working within Christchurch and travelling approximately 5 days a month to see customers in the South and West of the island, you will:

• Build relationships with Production Managers, Fabricators, trade shop owners, Sculptors and Tilers across the South Island. Maintain a strong level of credibility through knowledge of tools and equipment and range of natural stone.
• Identify opportunities and solutions that CDK Stone can provide its customers across its line of tools and equipment to improve a Stonemasons business operations. 
• Gain a thorough understanding of potential new clients and new projects.
• Consistently and promptly follow up customers to ensure products are specified, helping with any technical issues along the specification process (e.g., providing insight on appropriate blade type and RPM to cut a certain type of stone).
• Conduct training sessions with customers to educate customers on how to use CDK Stone’s range of tools and equipment effectively. 
• Learn, and develop expertise of CDK Stone’s products, customers and the wider stone + construction industry.
