Role:

Due to this continued growth, solidifying existing markets and exporting to new ones, there is a requirement for a Distiller to enable the significant growth in production. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of a distilling team within an already highly successful company. The role has a level of autonomy whilst also working as part of a team.

The next Distiller will:

• Be tasked with running all aspects of the Distillery, Filling Store, Warehousing and other requirements when appropriate.
• Continuously monitor the automated process and ensuring no deviations from approved recipes.
• Supervise the In-take of malted barley, green barley and grain, performing necessary quality checks.
• Set up and monitor the milling process
• Utilise safe operating of the mashing process, ensuring critical parameters are adhered to and optimum yields are achieved.
• Utilise Safe, operating of the cooking process to ensure a consistent performance is achieved from grain mash
• Set washback’s to enable a successful fermentation, consistently monitoring quality and performance.
• Operate pot stills and column stills to ensure high quality new malt spirit is produced.

We are looking for someone to:

• Potentially be working in a Process Plant Environment that may be concerned with making Food, Beverages or general FMCG products that follow a recipe such as Toothpaste or Shampoo.
• Be a graduate or time served individual with a scientific or engineering background.
• Help Build a culture of Continuous Improvement to ensure the Distillery is leading in the industry.
• Be organised, diligent, principled and meticulous as well as having a pride and passion for quality Irish Whiskey.
