InQuest Technologies Looking for Junior Software Developer at Rockville, MD Full Time

This is a Full-time in-office position based in the Rockville Corporate office. Work hours are 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, with a potential for hybrid work arrangement applicable after thirty days of employment as per policy. The Junior Software Developer collaborates with our IT and cross functional teams to develop innovative, attractive, and easy-to-use software solutions for our clients. Proficiency in AWS, NodeJS, React, PHP, HTML, and CSS is essential. The perfect candidate has a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field and a strong portfolio of past work. This position does not supervise other(s) within the Department.

• Assisting the development team with all aspects of software coding and support
• Collaborate with other developers and engineers to design, build, and maintain applications
• Writing and maintaining code
• Working on minor bug fixes and ad-hoc static pages update
• Responding to requests from development and other functional teams
• Writing weekly status reports to IT head
• Requirement gathering, write and maintain requirement and test cases
• Identify user and system requirements for new software sites and applications
• Prioritize software development projects, set timelines and assign tasks to team members
• Create wireframes to decide on layout
• Write or review code for various applications
• Run functionality testing and debug code
• Liaise with designers to decide on UI/UX elements (like graphics and navigation buttons)
• Ensure our software documentation is up to date
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of IT.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or relevant certificates; 1-2 of experience preferred, but not necessary
• Knowledge of basic coding languages JavaScript, HTML, PhP, CSS, C#, Java
• Knowledge of using SQL to update and retrieve data
• Knowledge in front-end or back-end software development for Window and Linux
• Experience with development framework such as .Net and Angular JS a plus
