The position

As an Investor Relationship Advisor, you will be responsible for managing relationships with Insight IR’s clients, their investors, shareholders, and financial analysts. The role requires a high level of strategic thinking, excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. You will work closely with our clients’ executive teams to ensure financial, operating and ESG performance is effectively communicated to the investment community.

In addition, you will work with client legal teams to ensure compliance with regulations and disclosure requirements, and as we grow, you have the opportunity to manage a team of investor relations professionals and provide guidance and mentorship to support their growth and development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement investor relations plans and strategies that support client financial and business objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with our clients, investors, analysts, and other members of the investment community.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, investors and respond to inquiries.
• Monitor and analyse market trends and investor sentiment to assess the clients’ positioning and investor relations activities, via engagement with client companies, research analysts and investors.
• Prepare and coordinate the development of investor communications materials, including NZX announcements and annual reports, with a particular focus on presentations for results and investor days.
• Manage and coordinate investor events and meetings, such as earnings calls, investor days, site visits and shareholder meetings.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, legal, and marketing, to ensure alignment of messaging and consistency in communications.
• Market research to identify and target potential new investors.
• Provide strategic input to client executive teams on investor sentiment, market trends, and regulatory issues.

About you

You are a natural communicator who enjoys establishing and maintaining meaningful professional relationships. You have spent a minimum of 7-10 years working in investor relations, capital markets, finance, or a related field, and bring with you a strong knowledge of financial markets and investment analysis. In addition, you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience creating and delivering investor presentations and communications materials.
• Proven ability to develop and execute investor relations plans and strategies.
• Experience managing close external relationships.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
