Intel Hiring for Graphics Power Content Creation Engineer at Folsom, California Full Time

Job Description

Intel’s Graphics team develops best in class graphics technology to serve integrated, discrete and HPC products. We are looking for a Graphics Power Content Creation Engineer to work with our Graphics Power Architecture team under AXG, charted to develop power tests to measure key architectural power metrics, characterizing wide spectrum of scenarios from low activity usage to maximum activity usage scenarios across the Graphics IPs. These tests are crucial in measuring the accuracy of our Graphics architectural power Simulators, RTL/emulation models, and silicon; and help identify unexpected bottlenecks and power optimization opportunities in our HW IPs and software/driver.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Development, Delivery, and Execution of Graphics Power Test Content at IP level

• Accurate measurement and post processing of key power/performance centric statistics across multiple environments

• Development of automated triage scripts to assist in performance bottleneck analysis and power optimization ideas generation

• Working with Architecture/Design/Functional validation teams to debug and resolve any power metric failures

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Education:

Possess a MS in Computer Engineering/Science or Electrical Engineering, with 1+ year experience educational or industry experience. Or completed Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering/Science or Electrical Engineering in June of 2022.

Qualifications:

The following experience can be obtained through school, projects, or work experience:

• CPU OR GPU micro architecture

• Performance validation

• C/C++ and scripting languages such as Python

• Data analysis and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• An ideal candidate will have knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following:

• Graphics Architecture (3D or compute)

• Graphics Design and/or Validation

• Scripting – Python/Perl

• 3D Graphics performance analysis
