Create – Collaborate – Modernise

As a Software Engineer you will work with the global development team to create new products and features and you will play an integral part in ensuring we continue to modernise our global business! As a key member of our team, you will get the opportunity to collaborate with external consultants to improve the online presence of Intrepid. Working in an agile environment you’ll take an idea and see it right through to completion across things like new features, changes to existing features, and entirely new systems. We are highly collaborative at Intrepid so you’ll work closely with your developer colleagues to achieve incredible outcomes, so this will require excellent communication skills and a solid eye for detail.

At Intrepid we work on a hybrid basis, this is a full-time, permanent position based out of our Collins Street office in Melbourne, we offer a range of flexible working conditions and ensure our environment is one you want to be a part of with a relaxed non-corporate culture where you can truly be yourself!

Ideally, you’ll bring with you experience in some of the following:

• 2+ years of development experience

• Computer science or Software Engineering Qualifications

• A good understanding of JavaScript, modern HTML, and CSS and the ability to translate designs into component-based solutions

• Familiarity with modern front end frameworks for example Vue, React or Angular

• A good understanding of unit testing, E2E, integration testing and CI/CD fundamentals

• Experience with relational database systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL

• A good grounding in User Interface and User Experience solutions

• A good understanding of source code control systems such as Git or Subversion and their use in software development
