About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer with a background in electronics and mechanical procurement to join our Auckland Team. In this role, your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Opportunity to lead the Procurement team to deliver on Quality, Speed and Cost objectives.
• Taking charge of sourcing. Selecting components and suppliers to meet our unique needs.
• Cost reduction by implementing and leading cost down programs for existing products.
• Manage contracts and supplier agreements and maintain supplier relations.
• Work closely with our Contract Manufacturers and Supply chain to unblock shortages and ensure delivery of product, on time and within cost.
• Process Improvement by conducting technical, business and process analysis, then providing suggestions to the Technical Operations Manager.
• Developing business metrics to measure supplier performance, benchmarking the costs and benefits of CM’s providing services to Invenco.
• Assist with QBR reviews and reporting.
• Project Support – Ensure due diligence on development projects are followed to meet the best quality, price and delivery terms are achieved for all existing and new parts.

About your Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• At least 5 years relevant experience in procurement of electronic components
• Technical background – a good understanding of electronic and mechanical components.
• Good understanding of the electronics engineering and manufacturing process.
• Specialised knowledge of procurement concepts, processes, activities, and trends.
• Advanced analytical interpretation and problem-solving skills.
• Communication, change management and customer service skills.
• Strong commercial skills with a proven ability in negotiation.
• No travel restrictions
