This is your chance to step into a Financial Services industry – Specifically the Superannuation Domain which focuses on helping Australians securing their financial wellbeing.
The purpose of this position is to develop software in a team environment, according to Insignia Financials development framework and practices. You will make a difference by:
- Actively participating in discovery sessions where applicable
- Technical analysis
- Designing, coding, testing and delivery of software
- Root cause analysis and problem resolution
- Participating in daily stand-ups where applicable For Client First team, also:
- Working autonomously and making balanced, pragmatic decisions based on data
- Working closely with stakeholders and end-users to illicit solution requirements and making key design decisions
- Following and contributing to team principles, procedures, and practices
About the tech
We work with a large array of different technologies. We try to always move forward with currently accepted practices, so you’ll have the opportunity to work on cutting edge front end and back-end tech while integrating with our legacy systems where it makes sense. Some of the technologies we use are:
- JavaScript (ES6), Typescript, React, Redux, HTML5, CSS
- Webpack, Mocha, Jest, Enzyme
- Java, Groovy and Kotlin microservices, Delphi legacy app
- Dropwizard, Resilience4j, Docker
- MongoDB, MySQL
- Elastic search, Kafka, RabbitMQ
A little bit about you
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent industry experience
- Programming language skills (as required by project work)
- Object oriented along with concept and principles
- Agile development practice skills
- Unit testing methods and tools proven experience
- Database technology experience
- Front-end, back-end, or full stack knowledge and experience
- Basic Unix/Linux skills
