IOSIS Limited Looking for Residential Practice Leader at Manukau & East Auckland, Auckland Full Time

Merivale Whanau Development Centre delivers a residential parenting programme for up to 8 families providing practical and therapeutic support for women and children where there are care and protection concerns for the children.

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Practice Leader to lead our fabulous team in their work by creating an environment of excellent practice and teamwork within a therapeutic model of practice.

Reporting to the Service Development Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and supervision by encouraging effective performance through the management of quality systems, coaching and development of staff and integration of their work and roles within the residential environment. You will also play a vital role in maintaining and developing our relationships with our external partners in our work both community and statutory organisations. 

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Strong leadership skills demonstrated through previous experiences in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of issues relating to parenting, child protection, family violence, family relationships and drugs and alcohol 
• Excellent administration, organisational and communication skills
• Strong computer skills with previous experience using a database
• Qualification and registration in Social Work 
• The competency and character to enhance the values, culture and practices of a multi- disciplinary, multi- cultural Christian agency
