Island Health Hiring For Electroneurophysiology (ENP) Technologist at Victoria, BC Full Time
Job Description:
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of Island Health (Vancouver Island Health Authority), patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Electrodiagnostic Services, and working in a computerized environment, the Electroneurophysiology (ENP) Technolgist performs multi-disciplinary electroneurophysiological (ENP) tests, including electroencephalograms, evoked potentials, electronystagmograms, and nerve conduction studies. Performs tasks assigned by physicians in the execution of electromyographs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
Successful completion of a recognized program in Electroneuraophysiology Technology and current certification with the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalograph Technologists (CBRET) or the American Board of Electroencephalograph Technologists (ABRET).
Eligible for membership in the British Columbia Society of Electroneurophysiology Technologists (BCSET) or the Association of Electromyography Technologists of Canada (AETC).
Skills And Abilities
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, co-workers, hospital staff, and medical staff.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work.
- Ability to operate equipment and perform tests at the patient’s bedside.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
