Your Role

It is an exciting time to join our business as we continue along our journey of ongoing expansion, change, and transformation. We are searching for a motivated Site Manager to lead our Timaru site. Reporting into the New Zealand Regional Manufacturing Manager, the Site Manager will be responsible for providing leadership to the site to efficiently manufacture chemical products safely and compliantly. You will have the ability to optimize day-to-day operations, be safety focused whilst also planning for the future of the site.

This role will initially be a 12-month fixed term contract with a strong view to permanency.

Your responsibilities

• Manage the manufacturing resources of the site to meet planned production and delivery schedules, at agreed cost, consistent with SH&E, quality and food safety requirements
• Ensure the all plants are run efficiently and safely
• Develop and maintain production KPI’s
• Ensure all statutory, regulatory & license obligations are met
• Contribute to the S&OP process in line with business and customer requirements
• Ensure the IXOM safety management system is fully implemented, maintained and gaps identified
• Develop fixed costs budgets and control fixed costs to budget
• Trouble shooting plant down time issues and determining and implementing corrective action

Skills & Experience

• Prior people leadership experience
• Background in food or chemical manufacturing
• Demonstrated safety performance record
• Previous experience in Lean or continuous improvement initiatives
• Tertiary qualified in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) or Science discipline would be very desirable
• Proven experience managing a manufacturing plant
• Budgeting experience

• Ability to build strong and lasting relationships with internal stakeholder
