The government client requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or if not fully vaccinated to have an approved accommodation based on valid medical or religious reasons.

Description of Duties:
The Accounts Payable Administrator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
Receive and process accounts payable invoices for contract and operating expenses, subcontractors and materials.
Verify specified teammate labor charges against vendor invoice.
Be responsible for routing vendor invoices for approval and to ensure appropriate account distribution of costs.
Be responsible for the timely processing of vendor payments and communication with vendors regarding payment status.
Be responsible for miscellaneous reimbursements in accordance with contract terms, company policy and federal regulations.
Reconcile open payables and reviews in support of month end accruals of expenses incurred but not paid, including state sales taxes.
Create and upload files required to process purchasing credit cards.
Ensure PO updates are accurate for line-item funding and period of performance with other functional groups.
Exert a positive customer service approach to vendors, employees, customers, and internal departments in performance of all responsibilities.
Share responsibility for assisting employees and teammate employees with proper preparation of travel pre-authorization approvals; verifies and processes invoice batches downloaded from travel expense and procurement systems; travel expense processing in expense system in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations and GSA Travel Regulations.
Be responsible for audit support to include development and maintenance of desktop procedures and instructions; maintains all records in accordance with retention requirements in anticipation of government and corporate audits.
Assist with record retrieval and expense reconciliations during both external and internal audits.
Support sales tax audits and documentation of payable records to validate returns.
The successful candidate will:
Understand that regular attendance is critical in this highly visible position as responsibilities are subject to recurring deadlines each week.
This position will be filled at Schriever AFB, Colorado Springs, CO
This position is expected to pay $41,400 – $63,150 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Basic Requirements:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 16 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 14 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 10 years of general experience.
Must have 8 years of directly related experience
Must have 3 years of experience working in a management or leadership role
Must have experience applying methods and practices directly related to accounts payable, bookkeeping, general accounting, and financial record keeping
Must be familiar with the use and integration of Microsoft Office application suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Must be familiar with Government Contracting accounting practices, Joint Travel Regulations, Federal Acquisition Regulations
Must have, or obtain within 90 days of offer, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
