Your Impact:

We are looking for a Team Oriented Records Specialist who has a working knowledge of Federal Construction Contracting and Quality requirements. This is a great opportunity for a candidate to be part of a team of Quality Professionals who are driven to provide exceptional service to our clients. The Records Specialist will take day-to-day direction from the Records Manager and report to the Project Quality Assurance Manager.

Jacobs Nuclear Projects and Consulting is a Tier 1 service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy and Atomic Energy of Canada Limited, we deliver safe and innovative solutions at complex nuclear cleanup and production sites. Our services include program management, decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste and nuclear material management, nuclear operations, consulting, and engineering and construction. We are currently executing many contracts, performing work that is essential to our clients’ missions across a broad range of functional areas.

Responsibilities will include:

• Performing records management functions that include assuring that Quality Records are identified, collected, implemented, revised, indexed, filed, stored, and maintained in a manner, which ensures integrity and accessibility.
• Perform assignments of varying scope and of moderate complexity following established policies and procedures.
• Ability to work in a Team Environment with shifting priorities that may include extended hours, (As Needed & Approved), to support project needs and schedule.
• Implementing the processes and procedures as outlined in the records management system.
• Update, review, and verify quality and project records in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• High school graduate (or equivalent).
• Accurate typing skills.
• Computer literacy is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of related experience, including 2 years of experience in the nuclear industry; Quality Assurance experience should include knowledge of the elements of NQA-1.
• Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and schedule work to ensure completion in accordance with requirements and deadlines
• Listens carefully and speaks professionally and clearly in all situations.
• Edits work for accuracy and clarity. Is able to read and interpret complex written information.
• Capable of identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner, gathering, and reviewing information appropriately.
• Uses own judgment and acts independently, seeks input from other team members as appropriate for complex and sensitive situations.
• Adaptable to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and is able to deal with frequent interruptions, changes, delays, or unexpected events
• Good communication and computer skills.
• Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of implementation of quality assurance regulations, standards, and guidelines of ASME/NQA-1, Quality Assurance Requirements for Nuclear Facility Applications.
