Jacobs is looking for highly motivated, results-oriented employees who possess the Certification and Qualifications of a UXO Supervisor/QC Diver. The UXO Supervisor/QC Diver will provide support for work on Munitions Response (MR) investigations and removal actions. The ideal candidate will be a motivated team player with 10 plus years of combined active duty military EOD and/or contractor UXO experience

In the capacity of UXO Supervisor/QC Diver the candidate shall be competent, experienced, and proficient at implementing the duties and responsibilities of the assigned position as defined in DDESB Technical Paper 18 minimum qualifications for UXO Technicians. This position requires obtainment and refresher training in accordance with 29CFR 1910.120 (e) & (f), qualifying annually to pass Hazardous Waste Physical, participating in a medical surveillance program, and substance abuse testing in accordance with JACOBS Engineering Inc., drug testing program. The UXO Supervisor/QC Diver candidate will be expected to progress toward advancement as a UXO Supervisor/QC Diver.

This position is a flex hire position across the USA. Flex staff are hired to work either full or part time for specific projects and limited periods of time and fulfill temporary workload requirements. These employees are eligible for participation in specific but, limited benefit programs. This position requires computer and cellular telephone communications and reporting. The candidate must have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each UXO job and possess and/or advance toward the following qualifications/capabilities:

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Implement Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan for Munitions Responses (MR) and Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) related activities • Maintain quality work products and project consistency • Support Jacobs Corporate Safety program • Provide timely reports and maintain daily communications with JACOBS Project manager and Team

• Able to pass DOD/DOJ Security Background Check or National Agency Check (NAC)

• Maintaining UXO/Dive qualifications, training, and associated certifications/licenses,

• Passport

• Passing an annual divers medical physical and qualifying for operations in OSHA Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Levels A, B, C, and D

• Valid State Drivers License

• Obtaining ATF Employee Possessor or Responsible Person Certification

• Obtaining State Blasting License (as required by state)

• Obtaining US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management certification

• Perform no-decompression dives

• Diving using self contained underwater breathing systems

• Swimming

• Snorkeling

• Working from floating platforms, boats, ships, or barges

• Working with underwater metal detection instruments

• Walking, hiking, working in remote locations, working outdoors, working in rain, snow, wind, cold, heat, and overwater, or at heights

• Set-up, operation, and maintaining geophysical instruments and safety equipment

• 98% of assignments performed in travel status on domestic or foreign short or extended assignments

Please note additional requirements:

Candidate shall be a EOD trained Diver qualified to perform Explosive Ordnance Disposal procedures underwater and capable of passing a commercial diver physical. Qualifications of NAUI or PADI are not applicable to this announcement. Must meet the UXO Supervisor/QC Diver requirements as promulgated by DDESB TP-18. Must be familiar with and have ability to carry out all job performance requirements in accordance with operational procedures.
