The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Operations Coordinator to join JLR during an exciting and important period for the organisation. The role of the Site Operations Coordinator is to provide and maintain a flagship site for JLR Ireland, provide a comprehensive occupational health program for all employees onsite and to maintain compliance to all standards and legislation in regard to Health & Safety.
The Site Operations Coordinator is integrated into the wider business and provides support to key company functions including communications, PR, engineering and senior management.
The Site Operations Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the JLR Ireland facility, along with employee health & wellbeing and engineering support. This a very diverse role which requires a flexible individual who is prepared to utilize a range of skills every day. The key responsibility of this role is to drive relevant projects from start to finish by coordinating information, providing support through delivery, and contributing to the overall strategy and performance of the site.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Establish and implement a communication strategy to create an environment of shared & collaborative communication both internally and externally.
Operate and own local budgets for the Shannon properties, facilities management, OH and H&S.
Robustly scrutinise all expenditure and liaise with stakeholders to ensure that payments are managed efficiently.
Develop a comprehensive Health & Safety strategy to provide exceptional H&S standards for employees and JLR Shannon site.
Understand business activities and its ambitions, strategically, commercially and culturally, so as to ensure effective support is provided where required.
Create and launch bespoke employee initiatives which provide an engaging employer experience and promote the culture and reputation of JLR Ireland as an employer.
Generate a comprehensive H&S training matrix, coordinating with engineering management to support program deliverables in the labs and workshops.
Attend and support at recruitment events, while maintaining strong relationships and coordinating with third party suppliers to JLR Shannon.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Confidence and ability to interact with and influence both senior stakeholders and liaise positively with third party suppliers.
Demonstrable skills in creating and fostering collaborative projects from concept to completion.
Able to organise and prioritise workload in order to meet and maintain coordination of the JLR site.
Previous experience in a similar coordination and organisational role.
Health & Safety qualification desirable but not essential.
Communicate effectively and positively while maintaining excellent standards across the site.
Approachable and able to work without constant guiding and management.
