Company Description: Jenks Bros is family-owned and operated. Jenks Bros Marketing (a sister company to Jenks Bros Cold Storage & Packing) sells and ships apples, domestic and export. Marketing offices are located in the same building as the packing facility. Employees of both companies work together closely to ensure timely shipment of quality apples to customers.

Environment: Small diverse team in a demanding work environment

Position Summary: The responsibilities of this position are related to supporting administrators, co-workers, and customers. The main focus of this position is assisting the marketing manager with records management, but also includes working closely with shipping as well as the owners. This position offers some flexibility in working hours and competitive pay.

Detailed responsibilities include:

• Data and order entry (The Shipper’s Office specific training provided)

• Daily inventory regulation

• Prepare weekly reports (Microsoft Excel)

• Professional email communication and management

• Basic accounting tasks, ie. AP, AR

• Filing

• Efficient communicating with coworkers

• Oversee required inspections and maintain mandated records

• Assist colleagues when needed

• Any other duties as assigned by management

Job Qualifications:

• Associates degree in business related field or certificate equivalent preferred, but not required.

• English speaking required. Spanish strongly preferred, but not required.

• Experience in the apple industry strongly preferred, but not required if candidate has an affinity to learn quickly

• Experience which demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively with diverse personalities including empathy and emotional intelligence

• Experience which demonstrates ability to prioritize responsibilities and adjust priorities when situations change

• Experience which demonstrates ability to manage stressful situations with a teamwork attitude

• Experience which demonstrates objective problem-solving skills

• Excellent keyboarding and general computer skills including Word and Excel

• Professional phone and writing skills, email etiquette, email management

• Working knowledge of basic office equipment

• Maintains a high level of accuracy with attention to detail

• Maintains a positive attitude in the face of dynamic situations

• Ability to work independently and as a team member

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
