Where You’ll Work:

Jive is a spirited start-up based in the vibrant city of Austin, TX. We’re offering a flexible hybrid work model with a preference for in-person brainstorming three times a week to sync with our dynamic team’s tempo. Virtual collaboration will be facilitated through Zoom. For exceptional candidates, we’re open to discussing a fully remote arrangement.

Role Overview:

As a Front-End Engineer at Jive, you’ll be instrumental in building and shaping the user experience of our dating app. Your responsibility will be to translate design concepts into functional and engaging interfaces. You’ll work closely with UI/UX designers to ensure technical feasibility and incorporate user feedback into the front-end architecture, optimizing for performance and scalability. You’ll be coding the heartbeat of our platform, where connection and community come to life.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Significant proficiency in React Native, experience with development in modern web frameworks, API design, and relational databases.
• Understanding the computational overhead of React Native and how to effectively render large datasets onto application.
• Experience designing and architecting full-stack applications, including API design and UI wire-framing.
• Proficient in Git/GitHub and CI/CD development paradigms.
• Experience writing your own testing scripts.
• Clear and concise coding and communication style, with a passion for code quality.
• Passion for front end design.
