Job Description
The leader will be a part of the MedTech Supply Chain Digital & Business Transformation (DBT) organization and will be responsible for data management strategy, data & analytics governance, data integration, and data reporting strategy & implementation.
The successful candidate brings a market-leading perspective on innovative data strategies and management. They embed that perspective into DBT transformations and actively look for opportunities to make the DBT organization’s decision-making data driven. They lead with data governance at the forefront of all data management decisions.
Major Responsibilities:
Data & Information Strategy: In partnership with Digital Strategy and Innovation Leader, set the strategy for utilizing data to implement new products and transform current offerings. Determine innovative ways to use data in strategic decisions to meet current business needs. Collaborate with DBT leaders to assess and influence opportunities for embedding data-driven decision-making into new and existing initiatives. Communicate the value of using data-driven decision-making processes for future business planning and operations and share out insights from analytics to identify areas of opportunity and emphasis for DBT.
Data Analytics: Identify key insights for MedTech Supply Chain DBT by extracting data for assessment. Analyze and interpret trends existing in the data to inform future business decisions. Establish regular reporting and analytics cadence to assist with continuous business improvement.
Data & Analytics Governance: Lead the development of standards and leading practices around data governance for in-flight transformations and existing products. Refresh data governance policies and procedures to reflect updates as MedTech Supply Chain DBT’s data strategy progresses.
Data Integration: Partner with technology stakeholders to connect applications related to MedTech Supply Chain DBT and ensure data integration across necessary platforms. Socialize data capabilities to technology stakeholders to find opportunities for improved data integration and collaboration.
Data Operations & Master Data Management: Act as an advisor for data management and operations across DBT. Drive team analysis of data operations and data management across DBT, identify areas of improvement, and work with DBT Strategic Planning and Program Management team to invest time and resources in improvements to create business value. Oversee the creation and implementation of tailored master data management solutions for individual initiatives within the DBT technology portfolio and the broader master data management strategy for across DBT.
Data Reporting Strategy & Implementation: Assess the landscape of data reporting needs within MedTech Supply Chain based on individual business lines’ ambition for value realization. Lead the development of data-based reporting platforms for products within MedTech Supply Chain DBT. Oversee the implementation of reporting strategies that are inclusive and exhaustive for all products within the MedTech Supply Chain DBT portfolio.

Business Resource Management & External Partners: Ensure appropriate subject matter experts are engaged and dedicated to data management as needed. Partner closely with Strategic Planning and Program Operations, Digital Strategy and Innovation, and Solutions Management and Continuous Improvement leaders to identify required resources and de-prioritize conflicts where they arise. Manage the relationship with external partners and SMEs relevant for data initiatives.
Qualifications
Experience and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree is required. An advanced degree, in topics such as Data/Information Science, is preferred.
Requires a minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in leadership roles within Supply Chain, Commercial or large data management programs.
Requires a minimum of 7 years of complex global data management leadership experience.
Requires proven experience leading data management initiatives.
A minimum of 10 years of experience with people management/direct report experience is required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Thorough understanding of data management strategic planning processes, delivery methodologies, and tools is preferred.
Ability to translate data insights into a language used by executives, IT stakeholders, and supply chain professionals.
Excellent at building strong relationships with peers and other stakeholders to influence and move toward a common vision is required.
Experience in resource management in accordance with project design and needs is preferred.
Requires strong knowledge across a breadth of technology and data management skillsets.
Strong knowledge of MedTech Devices, Supply Chain or Commercial Operations is preferred.
Demonstrated, hands-on data management experience required.
Certification in areas of expertise (e.g., CDMP, MDM) is preferred.
Strong customer focus (internal & external) and experience managing professionals from multiple disciplines is preferred.
Demonstrated experience and ability to collaborate effectively in managing large-scale projects in a matrix format.
Proven ability to collaborate across franchises, business sectors, and disciplines.
Ability to work effectively, autonomously, and drive alignment in a global environment through strong communication and empowerment, in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
This position will require up to 25% travel.
