Administrative Purchasing Clerk (Entry-Level)

Start ASAP – Up to $20.00 per hour

As Administrative Purchasing Clerk, you will:

• Receive complete training
• Learn to support operations in the Purchasing Department
• Provide assistance and support to the Purchasing Manager
• Answer Department phone lines
• Monitor the Department email inbox
• Communicate with suppliers by phone and email
• Perform document review, document control and document processing functions
• Enter, process and place purchase orders
• Administer changes to existing purchase orders
• Follow up on open purchase orders
• Provide periodic status updates to internal teams
• Make updates to spreadsheets
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Escalate complex issues as necessary
• Maintain manual and electronic purchasing files
• Perform other duties as assigned

An ideal candidate profile will include:

• At least 1 year of General Office, Clerical, Administrative or Purchasing experience
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Accurate Data Entry skills
• A High School Diploma or Equivalent

Pluses:

• +++ ANY Purchasing, Supply Chain or similar experience

JobGiraffe’s client is a manufacturer of products for industry.

This is a contract assignment anticipated to last 60 days or longer with the possibility to convert to direct-hire in Winter or Spring of 2023.
