Job Description:

The Patient Clerical Aide provides clerical support and transport duties for the Medical Imaging department. The Patient Clerical Aide provides services while in the reception/registration area, file room, and/or transporting patients throughout the hospital.

Education:

• High School Graduate or Equivalent Preferred
• College Level Coursework Preferred
• Business School Preferred

Experience:

• 6 Months Clerical Preferred
• Clerical – Healthcare Environment Preferred

Certifications/Licensures:

• BLS – Basic Life Support – American Heart Association Required for employees who have patient contact (Example: Transport Patients, etc)

Skills:

• Ability to type 35 to 40 words per minute.
• Basic computer and typing skills are required.
• Special skills which are required include knowledge of medical terminology, familiarity with computer entry, the ability to file both numerically and alphabetically and effective oral and written communication.

• This position will be scheduled variable shifts depending on department need.
