JOB REQUIREMENTS: What you will do You will be responsible for supporting focused supplier diversity and business development activities. Collects and combines purchasing/outsourcing plans from user departments in order to enhance efforts of diverse supplier/vendor initiatives. Prepares and maintains related records and reports for internal management teams and external customers in order to monitor compliance and results. Leverages technology to increase user department compliance with diversity sourcing goals. How you will do it 1. Qualifies new and existing diverse suppliers through an extensive review and understanding of their business profile and recommends suppliers to the utilizing department teams. Manages disposition of unqualified existing suppliers by referral to other corporations or makes recommendations for business development i.e. partnering with other key suppliers or referrals to same. 2. Monitors and evaluates diverse procurement dollars by division and utilization departments and commodity/category. 3. Compiles and maintains a diverse supplier online database with subcontract award records and deploys to vendor selection teams. 4. Integrates diverse supplier online database with existing company information technology portals. 5. Compiles and distributes company-wide diverse business utilization reports for national diverse business organizations (National Minority Supplier Development Council, Woman Business Enterprise National Council and Billion Dollar Roundtable). 6. Compiles external customer reports on Johnson Controls diverse purchasing performance. 7. Manages event participation of supplier diversity team and property logistics for diverse supplier trade fairs and national conferences. 8. Converts supplier diversity training material to online format for managers, buyers, and/or other employees. 9. Delivers informational seminars to diverse business owners regarding company requirements and opportunities. 10. Coordinates the company’s activities during compliance reviews by Federal agencies, customers and national supplier diversity organizations 11. Provides notice to suppliers concerning penalties for misreprensentations of business status as diverse for the purpose of of obtaining a subcontract that is to be included as part of all of a goal contained in the Johnson Controls subcontracting plans. 12.
