Jumbo’s Engineering team regularly ship code that improves our products and has a positive impact on our customers. We deploy fast and often – in 2021 we totalled 4000 releases. This means Engineers get to see their code out in the wild, being put to the test by real users.

Who we are looking for

• Passionate about developing high quality mobile applications
• Strong in CS fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms
• 3+ years iOS Mobile Development (Swift or Objective C) or can demonstrate a strong portfolio of apps
• A good knowledge of mobile user interface design
• Someone with an interest in keeping up with and curiosity to learn the latest technologies
• Enjoys working in a team environment and has strong written communication skills for efficient remote work

Familiarity with Git, code review, REST API design and automated testing.

What you will be doing
You’ll be working within a dedicated team of mobile developers alongside testers, designers, and product managers to conceptualise, design, build, test, and release high quality native iOS apps to the Apple App Store.

• Write high quality, maintainable, and testable code
• Take ownership of and technically lead the development of new features and products
• Keep up to date with the latest tech and explore emerging technologies to keep the code aligned with modern standards
• Be involved in planning sprint goals, understanding product needs and motivations, and transferring mocks and prototypes into compelling interfaces and experiences
