Kā te Rama Switched On Group Looking for Project Manager/ Site Supervisor at Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand Full Time

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/ Site supervisor who excels at getting the job done right and is not afraid to get their hands dirty. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple suspended ceiling projects from inception to completion. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships and adhering to health and safety regulations.

This role will see you flex your problem-solving skills and will require you to be a proactive thinker. Your confidence in reading plans and coming up with solutions while keeping the team and clients in the loop will be vital to our success.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of suspended ceiling projects
• Manage project materials & resources effectively
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and quality
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards
• Identify and mitigate potential risks to project timelines and costs
• Provide leadership and direction to project teams and site operatives
• Prepare QA reports and documentation as required

What will you bring?

• 5 years + proven experience in project management within NZ in the construction or interiors industry, preferably with a focus on suspended ceilings
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and best practices
• Excellent leadership and negotiation skills, with a strong eye for detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to tight deadlines
• Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
• Experienced with project systems and reporting
• Full clean NZ drivers license
