Kane’s Furniture is seeking an exceptional, talented Manager in Training – MIT for the Ocala market. After completing our management training program, our Manager in Training will be identified as the next general manager for one of our retail locations. Essential Job Role
Assist the general manager in achieving sales goals as defined by the company
Responsible for working with customers to resolve any opportunities as they may occur
Works and coaches the sales team to exceptional performance
Maintain 90% sales staffing level against the sales FTE target
Complete performance feedback and development plans for each new hire to ensure success
Ensure that sales team qualifies each customer sales order information, delivery expectation and product to be delivered
Assist the General Manager with ensuring that administrative processes are accurate followed
Executes safety initiatives and protocols in the store and ensures compliance
Train, coach and hold associates accountable to achieve goals
Acts as T/O Leader where assistance is needed

Compensation commensurate with experience
QUALIFICATIONS
College degree in Business/Marketing would be ideal
Familiar with Big Box retail, preferably with multi-unit configuration
Managed large diverse work groups to include commission sales team
Leader vs. Manager; want a leader that encourages performance
Demonstrate quantifiable sales improvements in the locations worked
Willing to work retail hours
Able to relocate to one of our Kane’s Central or Southwest Florida stores
Want to work in locations where people vacation!
