Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic mid-level Software Engineer who will work on the core Red Marker platform. Based in Sydney, you are confident and excited to work in a complex system architecture and start adding new functionality. You will be working alongside a high calibre engineering team and looking to learn new skills and techniques. The work is a mix of greenfield and support for legacy services/apps. We can mold the workflow to suit your career progression goals whether that be back or front end as you grow into the position.

Requirements

• Highly proficient in PHP and JavaScript and frameworks such as Laravel and Vue.js.
• Test Driven Development and associated techniques
• Amazon Web Services, in particular EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda
• Linux environments and shell scripting
• Skilled and knowledgeable with SQL. NoSQL experience (desirable)
• Working with queue systems such as RabbitMQ in a Microservice Architecture
• Docker (or similar container technology)
• Skilled with Git
• Experience with testing Frameworks such as PHPUnit. Front end testing experience (desirable)
• Excellent communication skills
• Can work closely with and incorporate feedback from product management, clients
• and other engineers
• Comfortable working in a fast paced and self-accountable environment
• Has a demonstrated track record of ownership of technical problems until final
• resolution
