At Kasada, our mission is to bring internet control and safety back to the hands of humans. Deployed at the edges of the internet, we continuously collect and analyse large amounts of data in real time, stopping fraud and malicious attacks such as account takeovers and denial of service.
We work on the challenging task of defeating bots and we need to support a very high amount of traffic. Every millisecond counts! You will be working on much more than the usual three tier application at Kasada.
This role can be remote anywhere in Australia. Although we do have offices in Sydney and Melbourne if you’d like to work from an office.
What you’ll be doing
- Working with an top quality team of engaged and collaborative engineers
- Designing and implementing features on our market leading product
- Collaborate closely with other product and engineering teams
- Take proof of concepts from security research and convert them into defence mechanics that runs on millions of browsers
- Be involved in architecture design discussions in how we can build efficient solutions
- Build massively scalable solutions, we’re a reverse proxy so this is paramount
- Regular hackathons to learn new tech and improve our product
- Mentoring and helping other engineers
What you’ll be working with
- NodeJS
- TypeScript
- A mix of databases such as Redis, Elastic Search, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL etc.
- AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, EC2 etc.)
- Docker
- GitHub
- Kubernetes
Ideal Experience
- At least 3 years experience working on back end problems (Node experience is a plus)
- Good understanding of web technologies (HTTP request/response, caching, cookies, proxies. etc)
- Experience working with containers and microservices
- Experience with highly scalable architecture
- Exposure to AWS Services, CI/CD tools and infrastructure as code
