A little bit about the role…

We’re looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to join our Creative hub in our global head office in Christchurch. You will play an integral role in creating designs across various media, helping to maintain brand consistency, and contributing to the evolution of the Kathmandu Style Guide. Key responsibilities include;

• Produce cohesive designs across all media, maintaining brand consistency
• Work alongside Creative Manager to create artwork in adherence to the current Kathmandu Style Guide
• Collaborate on projects to contribute fresh design ideas and concepts, actively participating in the enhancement of the Style Guide
• Develop an understanding of our target audience and produce relevant and appealing creative that aligns with the brand’s edit point
• Collaborate extensively with marketing and visual merchandising teams on projects
• Contribute to the creation of captivating lightbox visuals for in-store displays
• Collaborate on in-store design features as required, aligning them with brand aesthetics and customer preference
• Support the online and digital teams under the guidance of experienced designers in the creation of online assets, website landing pages, and online-only emails
• Assist in the design of digital assets for online, mobile, and app platforms.
• Contribute to conversion optimization efforts, A/B split testing, and multivariate testing changes.

What we are looking for…

You will have a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field along with experience within a similar graphic design role profile or looking to progress into a more Senior Graphic Design role. You will demonstrate a strong portfolio showcasing creative and strategic design solutions along with examples of thorough understanding of and experience of working style guides. You will have the ability to create designs that resonate with the target audience, aligned with the brand’s edit point. You will be an Innovative thinker who actively contributes to the development and enhancement of design concepts.
