Sales Manager position summary:
Keddco Mfg. Ltd. is searching for a dynamic Sales Leader, prepared to hit the ground running and drive profit and growth for our manufacturing and sales team. A highly motivated, results driven professional based in Edmonton will lead our sales department and grow profitable sales for our diverse product lines. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of what motivates our distribution, end user and OEM customers. While leading our sales team in Canada and USA, extensive coordinated travel with clear objectives will be mandatory.
Responsibilities:
-Assess the strengths and weaknesses of our sales team and manage the sales & marketing program.
– Create a robust sales & customer service plan, and implement it across the company.
-Monitor our customer accounts, across all applicable channels for profitability, and explore new opportunities.
-Support our sales team with “boots on the ground” assistance, creating new opportunities and closing active opportunities.
-Meet with key customers to understand how we can be better and open more doors with them.
-Visit our key customers corporate offices, and potential customers to start a top down flow of opportunities.
– Meet with end-users of Keddco products and develop a strategy to have them list Keddco on their Approved Manufacturers List (AML) for relevant product categories.
-Driving and implementing sales strategies, and effective tracking methods for sustainable follow up.
– Monitor and improve pricing when required and take advantage of margin opportunities.
-Thoroughly understand our P&L and make recommendations and changes to positively impact our bottom line.
-Be in constant communication with our management team.
Qualifications and skills:
-5+ years experience managing sales teams .
-Bachelors Degree preferred
– Pipe valve and fitting (PVF) industry knowledge, contacts and affiliations.
-An understanding and acceptance of cultural differences in the Canadian and American markets.
-Excellent communication and negotiating skills.
– Experience with contract and supply agreement review and negotiation.
– Strong team player with the ability to motivate and invigorate the sales team.
– Able and willing to travel occasionally, holding a valid passport.
