We are seeking an Human Resources Assistant role for an Power Management Company based in Horseheads, NY!
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 – 4:30 with an unpaid ½ hour lunch. If the candidate would like longer for lunch the shift would be 8:00- 5:00 or 7:30 – 4:30.
Duration: 3 Months
Pay: $35/hr
Location: Horseheads, NY
Knowledge/Qualifications:
? Must be knowledgeable across the multiple phases of the Human Resource spectrum. Including but not limited to compensation, benefits, payroll, recruiting, and onboarding new employees..
? Labor relations/Union experience preferred.
? Excellent knowledge in use of personal computer – proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
? Coordinate employee recognition/engagement events and community involvement events
? Order office supplies and catering for the plant
? Responsible for timekeeping and payroll activities
? Coordinate recruitment efforts, post requisitions, create Interview tools, etc.
? Organization, time-management, accuracy and urgency of meeting deadlines are critical in employee updates/recordkeeping.
? Service Oriented – performing multifaceted projects with deadlines in conjunction with daily activities.
? Flexibility and ability to get along with diverse personalities.
? Diplomacy and discretion in obtaining and providing information due to the confidential nature of the function.
? Ability to provide support and understanding to employees when informed about issues of a personal nature.
