WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Kelowna Chrysler is currently seeking a well rounded, experienced Body Shop Administrator/Estimator to join our team.

The Position

Supported by the Body Shop Manager, as the Body Shop Administrator/Estimator you will be responsible for assisting the Body Shop Manager in the day-to-day operations of the body shop. Further responsibilities include writing estimates for both customers and insurance companies, performing administrative functions related to insurance company claim requirements, and making required decisions in the absence of the Body Shop Manager. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Perform walk-arounds with customers to verify vehicle condition and point out additional repairs that may be required.
• Under the direction of the Body Shop Manager, provide a complete and accurate written estimate of labor and parts for submission to the insurance company and/or customer (if not an insurance claim).
• Notify the Body Shop Manager of incoming work and discusses all repair decisions on any unit close to being deemed as a write-off.
• Take necessary pictures for the insurance company.
• Work with the parts department to cost out estimates, order parts, follow up and make sure parts arrive and are correct. Follow up with parts department to ensure pricing is correct and that insurance claim sheets are lined and added up properly.
• Ensure all sublets are organized as soon as the repair process is confirmed, and ensure sublet companies are booked appropriately.
• Explain cost and time requirements in detail and get proper authorization before any repairs are performed.
• Ensure insurance company and/or customer is contacted regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time. Records all correspondence, if applicable.
• Review insurance repair orders to ensure that work is completed, and additional work and authorization is noted.
• Assist the Body Shop Manager with explaining completed work and all charges to customers.
• Maintains high customer satisfaction standards an that vehicle repairs exceed quality standards.

What does it take to be Body Shop Administrator/Estimator with Kelowna Chrysler?

• Previous experience as a Body Shop Administrator/Estimator and/or Assistant Manager preferred.
• Precise estimating skills, specifically in autobody collision repair.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of insurance procedures and processes with proven ability to build and maintain strong insurance relations.
• A desire to drive business development and achieve results.
• In depth knowledge of estimating software.
• Strong communication skills and people skills.
• Ability to multi-task and to prioritize according to store goals and customer obligations.

Salary: $42,084.26-$81,764.19 per year
