Role

This role will lead and manage a team size of close to 12 supporting the South-East Asia region shared services function, to optimise financial performance and drive continuous improvements in the implementation of accounting policies, procedures, business processes and internal controls.

• Daily operational oversight of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, General ledger and bank transactions.
• Analysis of information to provide business insights to support decision making and drive performance in business
• Direct the implementation of the Group’s accounting and financial control policies and practices
• Manage cashflows and funding requirements of HQ and SEA region.
• Manage inter/intra company reconciliations and netting processes
• Ensure timely financial close process for monthly and quarter end and support Group reporting requirements
• Partner with business units to resolve operational issues and ensure that accounting and reporting requirements are met.
• Manage information requests for annual statutory and PCAOB audits, group internal audits and respond to internal control issues arising
• Oversee and review quarterly GST and other local reporting and facilitate tax reviews
• Ensure effective internal controls & segregation of duties are in place including compliance to the Group’s policies & procedures and local tax regulations.
• Support annual budget and quarterly forecasting process,
• Provides leadership, support, training, mentoring, and development to reporting staff on an ongoing basis
• Lead the continual review, improvement and streamlining of financial and management reporting and controls including new systems implementations and upgrades

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with minimum 8 years of relevant working experience with Big 4 accounting firm and listed companies.
• Experience in streamlining processes and workflows, worked with senior management and various stakeholders, preferably with full end-to-end accounting and corporate reporting experience
• Strong working knowledge of Singapore and International Financial Reporting Standards, GST guidelines and other regulatory requirements
• Working proficiency in SAP S/4 Hana is a plus, Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
• Strong managerial and organisational skills; accurate and detail-oriented
• Driven and proactive individual with strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries and respond in a timely manner
