Job Overview
As a Packaging Innovation Co-op at Keurig Dr Pepper during the Winter session (Jan -June 2022), you will be part of an exciting and fast paced company, whose goal is to satisfy every customer’s beverage need, anytime, anywhere! You will have real responsibilities and lead projects that contribute to the overall growth and success of this leading beverage company. What you will do:
Use Design Thinking framework to generate fresh, compelling solutions for business pipeline and strategic initiatives while representing consumer-centric thinking
Use a rapid prototyping mindset to design concepts using 3D CAD tools and build physical models for cross-functional share-out and alignment
Actively participates in Marketing and Consumer Research programs to gain insights, and translate into key packaging needs and “jobs to be done”
Develop and commercialize packages across the KDP beverage portfolio to deliver on Innovation and Sustainability Agenda (Coffee, Tea, Juice, Carbonated Soft Drinks, Water, Gifting, Seasonal)
Lead development and optimization of packaging specifications for all packaging formats
Gain experience in material and equipment interaction to understand key metrics for specification development
Initiate and perform technical feasibility studies on new packaging platforms
Partner with Commercial stakeholders to understand key business requirements and develop technical packaging solutions
Interact with various business processes, including Commercialization Stage Gate, Change Validation Process, and Test & Trial Process
Positively influence and engage in a creative, performance driven culture
Requirements
Be an undergraduate student currently enrolled in a full-time academic program (Engineering discipline)
Be available to work in person, full time for a six-month assignment (Jan – June 2022) lasting 24-26 weeks
Be in strong academic standing
Be motivated to learn new skills, with passion for problem solving and the drive to obtain results
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize requests, and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills including listening, written and verbal
