Key Equipment Services Looking for Purchasing Coordinator at Vancouver, BC Full Time

Heritage is looking for a permanent full-time Purchasing Coordinator. This individual contributes to the success of the organization by driving service excellence through working with manufacturers to reduce discrepancies in parts purchasing, producing reports, and tracking parts, and does so accurately, quickly, and cost-effectively. This position has major impact on customers’ satisfaction because it directly affects the speed and quality of service, both in terms of parts delivery to end users, and in contributing to the Service Technicians’ first-time fix rates.

Core responsibilities

• Completes purchasing of parts based on business needs.
• Manages the relationship with manufacturers to resolve parts shortages, damages and other issues that arise.
• Assesses company parts requirements through replenishment reports.
• Processes part returns to manufacturers and suppliers.
• Processes purchase orders through replenishment within authority.
• Processes relevant inventory reports.
• Creates new part numbers for service.
• Monitors progress of parts replenishment and updates systems with relevant tracking information.

What you need to be successful:.

• Formal education in Purchasing, Inventory Management, or other relevant field is required.
• Minimum 2 years experience working in a directly related field.
• Experience with a current ERP system an asset.
