Kforce has a client in Houston, TX that is seeking a Software Development Manager. Summary: As a Software Development Manager, this role requires you to set a compelling vision for you team, and deliver high quality solutions in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift fast. To succeed, the Software Development Manager will need excellent technical skills, coupled with powerful leadership, planning, and management capabilities. They will need to be skilled with building highly scalable, reliable back-end services. As an integral member on the team, the Software Development Manager will have an impact. * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline; Master’s degree preferred * 7 years of experience working directly within engineering teams * 3 years of people management experience, managing engineers * 3 years of experience architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems * 3 years of experience designing and developing solutions in distributed systems environments * Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations * Experience with building web and mobile solutions Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
