Accounting Assistant – A/R

Multi-national corporation based in Maine is looking for an Accounting Assistant primarily responsible for Accounts Receivable.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

· Daily bank reporting including cash receipts review and posting.

· Weekly/Monthly Cash reporting

· AR Collections review and communication.

· Biweekly payroll processing (as needed).

· Purchasing support for supplies/maintenance.

· General Ledger responsibilities including Month End Close.

· Producer Price Index monthly reporting

· Sales and Use Tax/VAT reporting.

· Budget preparation assistance as needed.

· Annual audit tasks as assigned.

· Other projects as assigned by Controller or CFO.

Qualifications/Requirements:

· Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance.

· Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles.

· Business to business collections experience preferable

· Previous experience with Paychex software also desired

· Strong computer experience using MS Office Suite in particular Excel.

· Strong analytical and cognitive skills.

· Experience with multiple currencies helpful.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $27.00 per hour
