About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Technician or part- qualified Accountant to join our already well established Finance Team to help drive continuous improvement and innovation across Accounts Payable and Supply Chain. The successful candidate will be hardworking, organised and able to work in a very fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily invoice processing, preparation or review of bank recs, reconciling supplier statements and raising invoices for debtors
• Preparation of Intrastat
• Processing payment runs on a weekly and monthly basis
• Detailed financial analysis, including performing variance and trend analysis, and reporting of spend to highlight opportunities
• Implementing efficiencies and working with Supply Chain to improve processes on finance side
• Working with cross functional teams to drive expenditure control and implement new processes
• Supporting other finance functions
• Other ad hoc duties

Skills and requirements:

• Qualified Accounts Technician or part- qualified Accountant, with 3/4 years’ experience in a similar role
• Supply chain experience an advantage, along with working knowledge of Sage 200 and experience processing Payroll.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential
• Hardworking, organised and flexible, able to work in a very fast paced environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills, with high attention to detail.
