Kilwell Sports Group Looking for Marketing & Content Designer at Rotorua Central, Bay of Plenty Full Time

Kilwell Sports is a 3rd-generation family-owned business with a long history of importing and distributing some of the world’s key fishing, firearms and ammunition brands to the retail trade for over 89 years. 

We are searching for a capable, creative, and innovative go-getter to assist in the day-to-day marketing functions at Kilwell, including promotional campaign creation and execution; content creation; developing customer email automation workflows and assisting with events and trade shows.

Based in Rotorua, this role will report to the Marketing Director and be involved with the sales team and product buyers.

In summary the role will consist of:

• Creating, managing, and implementing promotional campaigns for B2B and B2C customers.
• Creating and executing email campaigns to B2B and B2C customer bases (via Mailchimp).
• Creating and executing automation workflows and email templates.
• Executing marketing related events, trade shows and special projects.
• Production, design and editing of all content including photos/images, videos, emails, catalogues, product, and web copy.
• Creating relevant video content for our YouTube Channel.
• Designing and creating our product catalogue for print and online.
• Working with the sales department on the marketing influencer programme and their requirements within budget.
• Creating proposals for larger buying groups in conjunction with the Key Account Manager.
• Creating coherent branding and messaging across the company.
• Conducting competitor analysis and market research in conjunction with sales team.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role with graphic design experience.
• A good eye for design and the ability to create magnificent images and videos.
• Previous experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, In Design, and Advanced Premier Pro.
• Strong copywriting skills combined with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience working with Mailchimp or a similar email programme.
• A positive attitude with a commitment to keep learning and growing.
• A strong level of attention to detail is critical.
• A relevant marketing degree or qualification is preferred.
• A hands-on, self-motivated work ethic.
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise workloads.
• A team player attitude with the capability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
