Kindercare Learning Centres Looking for Centre Cook – Christchurch CBD at Christchurch Full Time

If you’re an experienced, creative Cook, with a flair for healthy menu choices, you’ll fit right into the friendly team at our Armagh Street centre.

As an experienced Cook, you’ll be preparing and cooking vegetarian meals for approximately 100 children each day, using the guidance and support offered through our Nourished Beginnings affiliation. Your understanding of children’s nutritional needs, and ability to cater for dietary/allergy requirements, are essential for this role.

As a pivotal member of our team, you will be:

• Competent in preparing, cooking and serving food that follows our recipes
• Committed to the highest standards of cleanliness, and adhering to our policies and procedures
• A cheerful multi-tasker, with strong organisational and time-management skills
• A team player who is reliable and a clear communicator
• Willing to take care of some cleaning and laundry tasks

Ideally you will have experience cooking in an early childhood centre, however applicants who understand the needs of a busy environment are also encouraged to apply. Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa. Kindercare police vet all potential employees.
