The post holder will rotate between Denmark Hill Site and the PRUH Site during this post. This post is designed to provide a wide range of educational experience for SpRs/StRs who wish to make a commitment to education as part of their career. This is a twelve month ‘out of programme (OOPE) post aimed at those who wish to build on their personal teaching experience to develop expertise in educational theory and practice, and undertake supervised educational research.
Clinical responsibilities will be dependant on the post holder’s clinical experience and will be tailored to that individual.

When working within the centre the post holder will be expected to contribute to the running of the centre on a day-to-day level working closely with the established PGMDE team. They will be expected to develop the capability to work without supervision in simulation but will be fully supported as they develop this skill. They will be expected to develop an understanding of all modes of simulation including human factors.
