Job description
The post holder will provide clinical supervision to students on the MSc in Family Therapy, in an adult setting in the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and will hold an honorary contract within the Trust. You will be responsible for some student teaching and assessment.
You will be part of a supportive teaching team in the Section of Family Therapy, which sits within the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Candidates should be registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy as a Family/ Systemic Psychotherapist and have an AFT approved supervisor’s qualification and experience of clinically supervising.
This post will be offered on an a fixed-term contract initially for 6 months
This is a part-time post – 20% full time equivalent
Key responsibilities
- Providing live clinical supervision to MSc students on a weekly basis
- Teaching FT students
- Teaching on the Family Therapy courses
- Responsible for student assessment

Skills, knowledge, and experience
Essential criteria
1. MSc in Systemic Family Therapy.
2. AFT Approved supervisor’s qualification
3. Experience of supervision
4. Teaching and assessment experience
