KiwiRail Hiring for Programme Coordinator Job at Wellington Full Time

We are looking for a delivery focused Programme Coordinator to join our Future Rail Programme for this permanent, full-time role in Wellington.

Your Role:

The Future Rail Programme is a coordinated programme of investment packages to upgrade KiwiRail’s control systems, control centres and introduce new technology.

We are delivering two new control centre buildings, in both Wellington and Auckland, and are procuring new IT technology to manage the safe and efficient movement of passengers and freight.

You will be a proactive member of the Future Rail Programme team and support delivery of multiple projects by coordinating activities such as delivery planning and tracking, governance, risk management, decision marking, and quality management processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting Project Managers maintain programme and project schedules
• Assisting with contract management including coordinating RFI responses
• Actively participating, suggesting improvements and consistent use of project standards, controls, templates, resource planning, risk management and more
• Supporting the Project Managers in setting and managing budgets and expenditure as well as forecasting, analysing, and reporting on the status and performance of projects
• Facilitating meeting arrangements, preparing agenda, minutes, and action lists
• Ensuring documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
• Liaising with contractors and vendors where required
• Establishing deadlines, personal work plans and manages time effectively
• Identify and build collaborative relationships with all stakeholders

Your Skills:

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced coordinator and skilled at managing a variety of tasks simultaneously. You will be highly collaborative with an investigative, adaptable attitude and an eye for detail.

You will have the confidence to make decisions and manage up as required, and ideally have experience in an engineering/construction environment.
