We have an exciting opportunity join one of our Track Groups in Te Kuiti. We are on the lookout for individuals who want to work in a Track Worker role starting from a Trainee all the way up to Ganger level.
Your Role:
As a member of our maintenance team, you will work in a team environment carrying out maintenance, repairs, and renewals of the infrastructure assets in a safe, cost effective and timely manner.
Working on the Railway is very dynamic, you could be installing, repairing, or renewing track, working in tunnels or on bridges. You will enjoy working in a small team ensuring you get the opportunity to build great working relationships with your co-workers.
This is an outdoor role you will need to be physical fit, willing to work in all weather conditions and not afraid to get your hands dirty.
You must also be willing to work early mornings, nights, weekends and public holidays as required.

Your Skills:
A Clean NZ Drivers Licence, Class 1 is essential in this role. It would also be advantageous to have a Class 2 (HT Licence) but if not, we can support you in getting one if it’s required in your role.
Ideally, you will have experience within the rail industry but experience in construction or within a heavy labouring environment using light mechanical hand tools will also be beneficial. Because of this experience we will be looking for you to be able to demonstrate the ability to follow safety guidelines and be results driven.
A solid level of both verbal and written communication is also important in this role.
You must also be able to pass a Ministry of Justice check and complete a mandatory medical and drug test to be considered for this role.
