KiwiRail is New Zealand’s only rail operator and is committed to investing in the growth of rail in New Zealand. You will be working in the KiwiRail Infrastructure & Engineering part of the business and helping to build a rail network that meets the needs of future rail.

Your role:

You will be responsible for the provision of effective, reliable, and efficient day-to-day operations of all signalling assets in and around the greater Auckland region. This will include the maintenance, installation, restoration, and repair of signal interlocking components, so an interest in this area would be advantageous. With over 50 signalled crossings on our network, this role is challenging, fast-paced and in an environment where using initiative and problem solving is celebrated.

Your Skills:

• To succeed in this role you will need a good mechanical aptitude
• You will have relevant experience of working in a labouring environment or manual work
• This is a great development opportunity where you will receive excellent on-the-job training alongside our current signals team who are keen to pass on their skills and knowledge
