About this Role

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and execution of manual and automated testing for web-based software applications. You will work closely with business analysts, software engineers and other members of the team.

Key responsibilities:

• Write, document, execute and maintain test cases written in Python while working closely with senior members of the product verification and validation team.
• Create unit tests for areas of the product that do not lend themselves to automated UI level tests.
• Create, maintain and enhance test framework tools to improve the testing workflow.
• Carry out manual bench testing of features that have no other test coverage.
• Reproduce bugs in the office and identify faulty software or hardware components for further analysis by the Engineering team.
• Produce written test reports.
• Participate in the testing phase of the Software Development Life Cycle using some advanced testing tools.

Skills & Experience:

• Must be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision
• Must have experience in coordination with stakeholders, excellent communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or in Computer science or equivalent
• At least 3, preferably more, of testing/development experience and experience in writing automation tests using Java, Selenium using testing frameworks such TestNG or Junit, Mokito
• Hands on experience in Cucumber BDD framework, Perfecto, Sauce labs, Rest Assured
• Hands on experience with Git, Gradle / Maven
• Ability to learn and implement newer QA technologies and optimize existing processes
• Experience working in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) model including Git and CI pipeline automation tools
• Experience in cross browser automation and API testing
• Working knowledge of source control tools
• Able to manage a small team
• Exposure to working in distributed teams
