Kokiri Marae Looking for Youth Worker at Seaview, Wellington Full Time

We are Kōkiri Marae. From early in our inception until the present day, Kokiri Marae has offered essential community social services. Our services target those most at risk within the Māori community using tikanga Māori such as manaakitanga, whānaungatanga and whakapapa to provide support, counselling and advocacy for and on behalf of Māori individuals and their whānau. This service has grown over the years to a point where Kokiri Marae now offers a wide range of social services to whānau.

Being a part of our whanau will allow you to make a genuine difference in your community and be a part of a team that allows the opportunity of a shared body of knowledge, values, ideas, customs, behaviour and language, which enhances our culture.

We are looking for kaimahi to join our Kōkiri Marae whanau as a Youth Worker!

This role is a great opportunity for you to utilise your passion for Education and working with rangatahi/youth to guide them through this phase of their life.

As this role is based in Wainuiomata so an understanding of the community would assist you.

You will also:

• Have a Full Licence Driver
• Be Smoke and Vape Free
• Be coherent in Te Reo me ōna Tikanga
• Be up to date with COVID vaccinations
