At Kono Seafood we farm, harvest and process mussels, using stringent safety and sustainability standards, to share with the world.

Currently we have a variety of roles available across both our shifts here at Kono seafood. They include, opening, packing, optimising, and grading.

Position hours vary generally between 5:00am to 3:30pm on our dayshift and 2:00pm and 1:30am on our nightshift. 8 to 10-hour shifts.

These positions do not require experience, all training will be provided.

Our mussel season runs from roughly mid-September through to the beginning of July each year. The factory can shut down for anywhere between 6 and 12 weeks, your position with us is permanent so you just return when the season begins again.

We do work with other company’s to help our team to find alternate fixed term work across this time, while other team members enjoy a holiday if that’s what they choose.
